Karen Iwicki
Karen Iwicki, formerly our Resource Director, is now our Program Director. She holds a degree in Technical Communications and Supervisory Management and has been self-employed as a freelance writer since 1989. She has researched and authored numerous works that have been published in fifteen major newspaper and magazines. Most recently, she has worked as a freelance writer for The Chicago Tribune.
Karen and her family are survivors of a horrible flood in1986 that cost them everything they owned. It is of little surprise that within 3 days of Katrina hitting, Karen has been focusing her efforts as a Hurricane Volunteer Relief Coordinator helping numerous families find hope among the despair and destruction.
