Accountant For Non Profit

The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans, a city-wide non-profit organization since 1974, seeks an Accountant.
The PRC's mission is to promote the preservation, restoration and revitalization of New Orleans' historic architecture and neighborhoods.
The Accountant will work with the current accountant and CFO to manage the daily operations, with a focus on the accounting for the Operation Comeback program, including, but not limited to the following:
-General Ledger
-A/P
-A/R
-Fixed Assets
-Grant accounting
-Property ledgers/proformas
The candidate will also assist in financial reporting, budgeting and other accounting tasks.

Job Requirements
Accounting Degree or at least five (5) years of solid accounting experience.-Attention to detail required.
-Keen knowledge of GAAP required.
-Experience with non-profit accounting desired.
-Ability to learn new financial software or knowledge of Blackbaud is required.

Hours and Compensation
- Hours per week: 40
- Pay Rate: tbd
- Benefits: Benefits: 75% of Medical Insurance paid by Employer, generous paid vacation (18 days during first year) and holiday time off (14 days), 37 1/2 hour workweek, paid parking.
