Director of Fund Development & Corporate Relations

amily Services of Metro Orlando (FSMO) is a $45 million community-based care lead agency providing administrative and programmatic leadership for all child welfare related services in Orange and Osceola counties. In partnership with the Executive Director and the Vice President of Administrative Services, the Director of Fund Development and Corporate Relations will manage and oversee all aspects of the private philanthropic grants and awards process for FSMO including: (1) develop plan and execute a grants program that will result in achieving and exceeding projected annual fundraising goals, (2) identify, research, cultivate, solicit, steward and recognize gifts from foundation and corporate prospects, (3) personally manage all donors and prospects relations and communications, (4) collaborate with appropriate Executive Leadership and Leadership Circle staff and write and edit letters of intent, proposals and grant reports for submission to grantors, (5) prepare appropriate fund development evaluation and effectiveness reports. Special emphasis will focus on Central Florida and national funding sources.

REQUIREMENTS: Five to seven years related development experience with direct and proven experience working with volunteers, and managing development programs and staff. Ability to develop strategic and annual plans and budgets. Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to be flexible and work well under deadline pressure. Proficiency in multiple computer software and database systems, including Raiser’s Edge. Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field; and Master’s degree preferred. Relevant post-Baccalaureate training a plus.
